Project Overview
Bayovar 9 is world class scale phosphate rock development project located in the Bayovar region of Peru.
The project has a significant NI 43-101 compliant resource base of 546 million tones, including 108 million tonnes of reserves and 438 million tonnes of resources.
Testing has demonstrated the ability to upgrade the ore to approximately 30% P2O5 suitable for export quality phospate
Bifox is targeting first production in 2030, with an open pit mine design and planned production of 2.5 to 5 million tonnes per annum.

Operations & Infrastructure
- Bayovar 9 is designed as conventional open pit phosphate operation.
- 228 diamond dril core holes totalling 20,379 metres completed between 2008 and 2012.
- A 2015 Bankable Feasibility Study provides detailed independent engineering, mine design and cost information.
- Bifox is progressing an updated feasibility study, with the update expected to re-use much of the original design, laboratory testing, flowsheets, plant layout and infrastructure planning.
- The project is located close to port infrastructure, with good power and road access.
Market & Logistics
- Bayovar 9 is located adjacent to the Miski Mayo phosphate operation, owned by Mosaic Inc and Mitsui.
- Miski Mayo commercially produces ~4.8 Millions tonnes pa and has approval for further 1.9 Millions tonnes pa expansion.
- The Bayovar 9 project is well placed to serve international fertiliser and phosphate rock markets.
- Global phosphate supply constraints support long-term demand.
- Nearby port access, road infrastructure and proximity to existing phosphate operations provide a strong logistical foundation for future development.
